Replacement of an elevator at Mondawmin Metro Station.

Project Scope

Nichols completed an elevator replacement at the Mondawmin Mall Metro Station. The project was delivered by Nichols in the general contractor delivery method. The project scope was to demolish two existing elevator shafts in their entirety along with all the related systems including the elevators and then reconstruct the two shafts and components so that the MTA had two new elevators to move passengers through the Mondawmin Station. The project included but not limited to the following trades: selective demolition, concrete, masonry, structural and ornamental metal, carpentry, architectural rain screens, glazing, roofing, doors frames and hardware, finishes, specialties, elevators, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and fire alarm systems.
