Project Scope
Nichols Contracting is proud to support the revitalization of Eugene Simpson Park in Alexandria, Virginia. The project will deliver a modern, multi-use athletic complex with upgraded facilities including a new pitcher’s mound, bases, enhanced scoreboard, improved sports lighting, and an advanced sound system for baseball activities.
Additional upgrades include improved pathway and parking lot lighting for safety and accessibility, reconstruction of the parking lot, a modern irrigation system, and better drainage to protect the park’s infrastructure. New amenities include a basketball court, asphalt walking path, ADA-compliant access routes, fresh landscaping, and bio-retention ponds for environmental sustainability. This renovation aims to strengthen community spaces and provide accessible recreational opportunities while promoting local pride and long-term sustainability.
