Join our team and help us support the cause! We are participating in an annual fundraising bike ride to raise money for Autism awareness and research called Bike to the Beach. Our goal is to raise awareness and money to help those whose lives are touched by Autism, a neurological disorder that affects 1 out of every 68 children. We need your support to provide hope for those individuals dealing with Autism each day. Every 21 minutes a child is diagnosed with Autism, the fastest growing disability in the United States. Autism is a national crisis, costing the country more than $90 billion annually, yet it receives less than 5% of the federal funding of other less prevalent childhood diseases. We would appreciate any effort on your behalf to support our journey and improve the lives of those who are touched by Autism. If you would like to donate to help improve the lives of Americans dealing with Autism, please contribute to our fundraising page. – See more at: Team Nichols

A Charity Ride for Autism
Register, volunteer, or donate to support our 100-mile Bike to the Beach for autism Charity event or our 10-Mile Family Challenge , two great cycling events to raise money and awareness for autism on July 31, 2015.
For our Family Challenge, Bike to the Beach has partnered with iCan Shine, a nonprofit organization which provides quality learning opportunities in recreational activities for individuals with disabilities. iCan Shine conducts over 100 five-day iCan Bike programs in 32 States and 3 Provinces in Canada serving near 3,000 people with disabilities each year.
Our 10-mile Family Challenge is designed for riders who are on the autism spectrum disorder (ASD) spectrum. Each child must be guided in a family team with a 1-to-1 adult-child ratio. Teams have a minimum of 2 riders with no maximum so the whole family can ride together!
By incorporating the Family Challenge into B2BDC, we hope to broaden the scope and impact that our ride can have for those affected by autism.
